Location

The Children’s Workshop is tucked away in a beautiful, leafy corner of Sevenoaks, within the Environmental Park on the edge of Knole Park, sharing a site with Lady Boswell’s Church of England Primary School.

Surrounded by trees and woodland, our setting offers children a wonderful opportunity to grow, play, and explore in nature, while remaining just a short distance from the heart of Sevenoaks. With its historic streets, independent shops, welcoming community, and beautiful surrounding countryside, Sevenoaks offers a lovely balance of town and country life. We are especially fortunate to have Knole Park on our doorstep, with its ancient trees, open parkland, and roaming deer providing endless opportunities for discovery throughout the changing seasons.

Our Shared Site With Lady Boswell’s

Although The Children’s Workshop is an independent preschool, we enjoy a close and valued relationship with our neighbours at Lady Boswell’s Church of England Primary School. Each Summer Term, children in our Saplings group who will be moving on to Lady Boswell’s Reception class are given the opportunity to spend a week experiencing school life. From joining in with classroom activities and lessons to eating lunch with the students, this special week helps children become familiar with their new surroundings, build confidence, and look forward to the next chapter of their education.

We also foster strong relationships with primary schools across Sevenoaks, recognising that our children move on to a variety of settings. We arrange opportunities for Reception teachers from these schools to visit The Children’s Workshop, meet their incoming pupils, and get to know them in a familiar, comfortable environment. These connections help make the transition to primary school a happy, positive, and reassuring experience for children and their families.

Drop Off
and Pick Up

To make the beginning and end of the preschool day a little easier, we provide eligible families with parking permits allowing 20 minutes of parking in the car parks close to the Environmental Park during drop-off and collection times.

This gives everyone plenty of time to arrive without rushing, say their goodbyes, or perhaps enjoy one last whoosh down the slide in the playground just outside the preschool!

Families living more than 0.7 miles from The Children’s Workshop are eligible for a permit, with up to three vehicles registered per family. Permits are provided at the beginning of each school year, and replacements can be requested through the office if needed.
