Fundraising
The Children’s Workshop is a registered charity and a not-for-profit pre-school, and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of our families. As a charity, we work hard to keep our fees reasonable and our preschool accessible, while providing the very best experiences and opportunities for the children in our care.
Unfortunately, government childcare funding does not fully cover the cost of providing each child's pre-school place. Changes to funding entitlements, alongside continually rising running costs, have placed increasing pressure on our finances. Despite careful budgeting and prudent planning, there remains a shortfall between the funding we receive and the actual cost of running our pre-school. We therefore warmly invite families who are able to do so to consider making a voluntary contribution. Every contribution, however small, makes a genuine difference, helping us maintain the wonderful environment, resources, and experiences that make The Children’s Workshop so special.
Fundraising is also a lovely part of our pre-school community, bringing families together throughout the year. From our Christmas Nativity to the Summer Fete, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved, have fun, and support the pre-school. And, of course, no English childhood would be quite complete without a handprint tea towel!
Our Committee of Trustees leads our fundraising efforts, and they are always delighted to hear from parents with ideas, enthusiasm, or a little time to spare. Whether through volunteering, organising an event, or suggesting a new fundraising initiative, your involvement helps ensure that The Children’s Workshop continues to flourish for generations of children to come.
All contributions are entirely voluntary, and every family is equally valued and welcomed, regardless of whether they are able to contribute.
